We are Dani and Talia. Founders of The Local Adventure Company.

We never thought we would end up here actually, but it was the experiences we had as kids camping and being outdoors as well, as the mishaps and misadventures of our early adulthood, that lead us to starting our own adventure company. So here we are..

Meet Talia

Dani describes Talia as a freak of nature. Literally, her last name is Freak. I rarely see Talia relaxing. She’s that sort of go-getter that inspires you to do more, to live more. She always seems to be climbing a new mountain I’ve never heard of. You know you are safe when you are with her. She literally changed my car battery, got us out of being bogged, and offered to change my car tyre once. What a gem.

Meet Dani

Talia describes Dani as someone who is super determined. Whether it's going on an adventure, planning a business, or making a tour run smoothly, she's the girl to make things happen. She loves an adventure and is up for any of my crazy ideas and has had a lot of crazy ideas of her own. Hiking is her game, from walking the whole 1200+kms of the Heysen Trail to solo hiking the trails of Mt Blanc and the Dolomites she knows her stuff. One of the most thoughtful and kind people I know, you're in good hands with Dani.

From working in the grain silos, to working as Adventure Guides then Bushwalking Guides, our fourth job together is this one. Partnering together to create and build The Local Adventure Company.

Having a combined experience in outdoor guiding of 7+ years, we are on a mission to create an outdoor experience, learning from all the successes and mistakes of the companies we have worked for in the past.
